At York Equestrian, the word "camp" equals the word "fun"!
For over 20 years, we've had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of campers about the fun and safe way to ride. Our well-rounded program provides the perfect starting point for children to learn about riding and horses. The time spent at camp gives them enough knowledge to allow them to progress into our more permanent lesson program. That's why we request that a child completes a minimum of 2 weeks of camp prior to joining the weekly lesson program.
Our camps are recommended for children between the ages of 7 and 14. A camp day incorporates riding instruction with 2 lessons per day, horsemanship, and horse safety as well as traditional camp activities such as crafts, sports and other team oriented games. Our daily activities are supervised by qualified staff and camper ratios are kept small to ensure a safe and fun experience.
Each camp session ends with a horse show where parents and friends are encouraged to attend so that they can see first-hand their campers newly acquired riding skills!
At York Equestrian, each and every camp day is jam packed with activity and after grooming, riding, and learning about their favorite equine friend, your 'happy camper' will come home thoroughly exhausted!
