Horse Riding Equipment

Safety is always our first priority

Having safe, maintained equipment is essential to learning the sport of horseback riding.

All riders MUST wear a properly fitted, ASTM/SEI approved helmet and boots with a heel no more than 1.5 centimeters in height when riding. No exceptions!

While not required, we advise students to wear equestrian safety vests for every ride. A secure, well-fitted safety vest helps to protect a rider’s body and shield impact in the event of a fall.

Remember - we are here to help if you have questions about your equipment. Safety first!

“We have been a part of the York Equestrian family for over 15 years. My three children have done summer camps since they were very young. My one son decided to continue with riding. I can't say enough about the riding school, John and Mary, along with all of their instructors. He loves the farm, the atmosphere, and most of all what he has learned!......”
